Jaybird Wireless Headphone Review 2019

Jaybird wireless headphone is very  important to get, a tight seal to maximize sound quality and not lose any bass, and to that end, Jaybird has included new tips and fins that promise a more comfortable, secure fit.  Jaybird premium sound Bluetooth headphones are the perfect accessory for athletes, runners, & fitness fanatics.

The Jaybird wireless headphones are exactly what you'd expect from a company that's been working on wireless headphones for years. They're comfortable, easy to use and they sound great. You'll pay a bit more than similar headphones -- even Apple's Airpods -- but it's worth it for fitness fanatics.

The little differences between wireless buds come down to the earpiece design. They need to stay in your ears reliably, there's no cord to save them from falling on the ground, after all and ideally, they should be comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. This is one area where the Jaybird wireless headphone excels: It features the "fin" typically found on the brand's headphones, which fits into the upper groove of your ear to hold them in place. Once you get them in, it's hard to notice you're wearing them.

There are also three (3) different types of fin accessories, along with a finless one if you have very small ears. And as you'd imagine, the Run earbuds are both sweatproof and water resistant. Jaybird says they feature a "double hydrophobic nano coating" to deal with sweat, which is much tougher on gadgets than plain water.

The left earbud automatically connects to the right one over Bluetooth when you turn it on, and the sound carries over without any interruption. Everything sounds a bit compressed when you're just using the right earbud, but the audio field expands seamlessly once you turn on the left bud.

You don't have many options for controlling the Run. Each earbud has just one button. Powering them on and off takes one long press, but you can also skip forward to the next track by double-clicking them. The buttons are easy enough to find, but they're difficult to press. Pushing them simply felt painful, since doing so also jams the Run deeper into your ear. Because of that, I avoided the buttons entirely while wearing the earbuds.

The Jaybird wireless headphone was especially great for podcasts. Dialog sounded rich and natural, with none of the tinniness you get from some wireless headphones. And since podcasts are usually recorded at a much lower fidelity than music, they ended up being ideal for the Run's more limited audio range. I caught up on a big chunk of my podcast backlog while testing them, simply because they were so convenient to wear.

The good: Jaybird wireless headphone Tarah wireless sports headphones fit comfortably and securely, are fully waterproof and sound good. The inline remote is slim and lightweight and the companion app is well designed and allows you to tweak the sound.

The bad: It has a proprietary charging cable, so if you lose it, you can't charge the headphones. There's no carrying pouch included. Battery life is only average.

Google Hangouts shutdown countdown date

NEW DELHI: The tech giant Google announced in March 2017, that it will split the Google Hangouts into apps called Meet and Chat. Now the company has revealed the official timeline of the shutdown of its Hangouts app. With this new move Google aims to take on its competitors like Slack.

The company has announced that later this year it will start with the transition of classic Hangouts users in G Suite domains to Chat and Meet. This transition will be followed by the consumer transition which will begin in late 2020.

The company also said that in between April and September 2019 the features from classic Hangouts will come to Chat and in October 2019 the company will start retiring classic Hangouts for G Suite customers.

In an official post the company said, "The above dates are specific to G Suite customers and their end users who use classic Hangouts. We will continue to support consumer use of classic Hangouts, and expect to transition consumers to free Chat and Meet following the transition of G Suite customers.

A more specific timeline will be communicated at a later date."
The Chat will also become available to users on both web and via mobile apps. Users can also continue using classic Hangouts in Gmail, mobile, web or the Chrome extension.

The company also added that it will not start killing the Hangouts for regular users until the G Suite users are comfortable using Hangouts Chat and Hangouts Meet. So, presently, the non- G Suite users don't have to worry about the change. Also the app is likely to die completely in 2020 which means users still have ample time with Google Hangouts.

Google Hangouts is not the only messaging app that the company has decided to kill. Last year, the company announced that it is shutting down its messaging app Google Allo. The company introduced the app in 2016 and will completely kill it by March this year.

Facebook will face bigger problems in 2019 warns analyst

Already mired in controversies, social networking giant Facebook should brace itself for another tough year as its revenue growth faces risk due to increased scrutiny of the platform's usage by marketers, according to Pivotal Research analyst Brian Wieser.
In a note published in MediaVillage on Monday, Wieser maintained his "sell" recommendation on the company's stock.

"On a negatively revised price target for 2019, we maintain our Sell recommendation on Facebook as we think downside risks on higher costs and management changes are more pronounced now vs. before...," Wieser said.
"...and revenue growth also faces risks as marketers enhance their scrutiny when they assess their use of the platform," he added.

Facebook had a tough year in 2018. Scrutiny of Facebook increased manifold since it revealed earlier in 2018 how a London-based political consultancy, that worked for US President Donald Trump's campaign, improperly got access to data of up to 87 millions users.

Appearing before a US Congress Committee in April 2018, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologised for the Cambridge Analytica data leak scandal.
While Facebook was slammed for revealing the Cambridge Analytica scandal years after it got to know of it, similar allegations of inaction were also levelled at the social media site for its role in the spread of false and divisive messages by Russian-linked accounts during the 2016 US presidential election.

Again in September 2018, Facebook said that a breach had exposed data of 50 million people and then, in December, it reported another security breach where nearly 6.8 million users risked their private photos being exposed to third-party apps.
User numbers at Facebook were flat in North America and declined slightly in Europe in third-quarter information released in October, although total monthly active users worldwide went up to 2.27 billion from 2.23 billion on the previous quarter, CNBC reported.

In Wieser's analysis, Facebook's problems are unlikely to go away in 2019.
Pivotal estimates that Facebook made between $5 billion and $7 billion from Chinese advertisers in 2018, and that might also be a problem this year if economic weakness continues in China, the CNBC report said on Monday.

How to improve your phone internal storage

We all love Androids, but we get frightened anytime we see a pop-up message like "Low Internal Storage". This will continue to pop-up if you have no solution to the problem. That's whywe look for a phone with a better Internal Storage to buy so that we can avoid low storage issues. Worry no more about your internal storage because you've found a solution.

The best way to improve your Android internal storage is to borrow it from the SD card. I'm very sure some people will be asking "How this is possible?".Yes, it can be done.
You can't just pull storage from the air and add it to the device. No, it has to come from somewhere and an external storage is the only way out here.
There are some conditions necessary before you perform this trick.

Conditions necessary for this trick to work.

  • The Android version must be Mershmallow or above.
  • The phone must have the support for external memory.
  • The SD card used in the process must be high-speed class 10 SD card. Just a fair point of warning - If you proceed with a slow speed memory card, it might result in your Android slowing down in the long run.

Steps:

  1. The first step is to "Format The SD card"
The first step in the process, would be to format SD card. But first make sure that you have taken a backup of all your data before you start the format.

  2. The second step "Format as Internal storage"

Post the format, head over to Settings >Storage and USB. Depending on your phone specifications, here you will be able to see the free space on your device.

Go to Portable storage and once inside, tap on the hamburger menu on the upper right corner. A menu will pop up showing two options — View and Settings. Tap on Settings.

The Settings menu contain only a handful of options. Our weapon of choice here is the option called Format as internal. This option will erase all the data from the SD card and will pan the SD card as part of the internal memory.

The whole process roughly takes around five minutes to complete, depending on your phone’s configuration.

Once that’s done, you will see that the device storage shows a cumulative of both the memories, with the option for portable storage gone.

So, it’ll take you only a few minutes to increase the phone’s internal memory.

As the phone treats the SD card as a part of the internal storage, an unplanned ejection may result in an unstable phone and may cause a forceful shutdown of the apps.

However, not all phones come with an option to modify the external storage into adoptable storage, such as the Samsung and Xiaomi devices. So for those devices which haven’t been blessed with this feature, fear not, we have a nifty trick to do just that.

The latest smartphone with a RAM better than a standard laptop.

RAM is a super-fast type of memory that stores the apps you've opened since you turned on your phone.

That memory lets you return to an app you've previously used and pick up right where you left off, without delay.
Without RAM, apps would close themselves when you switch to another app, causing delays when you revisit one you've previously used.

The more RAM your phone has, the more apps it can store for quick access, which results in an overall feeling of your phone working faster.

A phone called the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition was recently announced and it has 10GB of RAM, a number that, for many, is just another confusing number.

But once and for all, we're going to explain what RAM is and why it matters in a smartphone. This post is a great place to start.

First, the name. You don't really need to know that "RAM" stands for "random access memory." But what you do need to know is that RAM is a super-fast type of storage — faster than your phone's main storage where your apps, photos, videos, and music live — and it helps your smartphone work and feel fast.

Here's how RAM works and what it does in your smartphone

You can think of RAM as your pocket and your phone's main storage as your backpack. It's much faster to pull something out of your pocket than it is to pull something out from your backpack.

When you turn on your phone, and open an app for the first time, your phone pulls the operating system (OS) and app's data from your phone's slower main storage and stores the bulk of that OS and app data in your phone's faster RAM so you can use different elements and features of the OS and app quickly.

When you're finished with the app you're using, your phone keeps the app and whatever you were doing on it in your phone's RAM, even if you switch to another app.

When you return to an app you used a while ago, it'll open right where you left off, as if you never even left the app, because it's been stored in your phone's RAM. Essentially, apps you used are kept running in the background while you use other apps.

Switching between apps and picking up right where you left off is often called "multitasking." If a phone is said to multitask well, it's because it makes good use of RAM or simply has a ton of it.

If a phone didn't have RAM, apps would fully close whenever you switch apps. That means apps would need to fully re-open, as if you opened them for the first time after turning on your phone, which causes a delay before you can use the app.

Your phone's main slower storage could potentially keep your OS and used apps running in the background, but it's much, much slower than RAM. Your phone could have the fastest chip in the world and it would still feel slow without RAM.

So, yes, more RAM is generally better, but it's not that simple

Indeed, more RAM means your phone can store more of the OS data and apps you often use for quick access. It gives off the impression that your phone is incredibly fast because the OS and apps you've previously used are ready to use straight away when you return to them.
But you might look at the iPhone XS's paltry 4GB and compare it to the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition's 10GB of RAM, and immediately think the iPhone XS is an inferior device. But it's not quite that simple.

Apple uses a relatively low 4GB of RAM on its iPhones because they've optimized the iOS operating system, components, and the way it handles app data to perform very well with only 4GB of RAM.

The same goes for Google and its own Pixel 3 phones, which "only" have 4GB of RAM compared to other Android devices with 6GB or more.
With Android devices that aren't made by Google, you could say the optimization is generally less efficient.

There are so many Android devices out there with difference specs and versions of Android that optimization is almost never going to be as good as it is with Apple and its iPhones. So a lot of Android devices will have 6GB or more of RAM in order to perform as well as an iPhone with 4GB of RAM.

With that said, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition — which runs Android — has so much RAM that it could brute-force itself to better app multitasking than the iPhone XS, and any other phone for that matter.

2019 Mercedes‑AMG G 63

Most would look at the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and see a vehicle built for extremes — and they would be absolutely correct. But engineers in Affalterbach looked at the G-Class and said, "Let's make it more extreme." Thus the Mercedes-AMG G 63 was born. And now, they´ve taken that machine to its furthest extreme yet, with a 2019 model that preserves the icon's classic design while making it capable of extraordinary feats.

Total command to every adventure.

The handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine generates 577 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. It sprints from 0-100 in just 4.4 seconds. And its two twin scroll turbochargers guarantee a whip-fast response. That power and agility are further enhanced by a 9-speed transmission that uses model-specific software to achieve remarkably fast shift times. In a further departure from the previous model, the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive now features a 40 to 60 percent front/rear torque distribution, giving the G 63 maximum traction during acceleration.

When it´s time to leave the well-traveled road — or any road at all, for that matter — the G 63 is in its element. In addition to five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT on-road programs, there are three off-road modes — "Sand," "Trail" and "Rock" — that guarantee the best performance whatever environment you´re in. The bodyshell has been constructed with a new material mix of steel and aluminum to preserve a lighter weight while delivering improved strength and durability.

Outside, the G 63 remains one of the most iconic designs on any road. Inside, it departs from tradition, with a completely redesigned dashboard featuring analogue tubes, dial instruments and a Widescreen Cockpit. It´s also larger and more spacious in every dimension, bringing total command to every adventure.

Key Highlights [1]

  • Handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine
  • 577 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque
  • Top speed of 210 km/h
0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds (est.)
  • AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission

Design

  • AMG Performance 4MATIC+ with rear-biased torque distribution of 40:60
  • AMG Performance steering wheel
  • AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive adjustable damping for increased safety and comfort
  • Five DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual, plus three additional off-road modes: Sand, Trail and Rock
  • LED High Performance headlamps

The new 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63 is a real beast. It’s capable of reaching 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) from a standstill in just four seconds (although Mercedes says it’s 4.5 seconds), yet it’s one of the best off-roaders on the market today. The “reinvented icon” as the German automaker calls its boxy SUV is now ready to hit the U.S. showrooms and it has been announced its starting price will be $147,500 without the $991 destination and delivery fee.

To put that into perspective, the most powerful G is just $2,050 cheaper than the Mercedes-AMG S63, which starts at $149,550. The two share a handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that’s good for 577 horsepower (430 kilowatts) and 627 pound-feet (850 Newton-meters) of torque in the G63.

Of course, $147,500 will buy you a G63 with pretty much all tech features Mercedes could offer you today. These include a nine-speed automatic gearbox, Ride Control sports suspension, performance exhaust with adjustable flap system, and a 12.3-inch central display for the infotainment system. In addition, the AMG Dynamic Select system offers five drive modes and three extra off-road modes – Sand, Rock, and Trail.

The total body scanner's first scan

New York: The world's first medical imaging scanner that can capture a 3D picture of the entire human body at once in as little as 20-30 seconds has produced its first scans, say scientists, noting that the technology can aid in improving diagnostics to tracking disease progression to researching new drug therapies.

Called EXPLORER, the scanner combines positron emission tomography (PET) and x-ray computed tomography (CT) and can produce image up to 40 times faster.

The machine also captures radiation far more efficiently than other scanners.
"The level of detail was astonishing... We could see features that you just don't see on regular PET scans. And the dynamic sequence showing the radiotracer moving around the body in three dimensions over time was, frankly, mind-blowing," said Ramsey Badawi, chief of Nuclear Medicine at at the University of California - Davis, in the US.
"There is no other device that can obtain data like this in humans, so this is truly novel," he said.

The first images from scans of humans using the new device will be shown at the upcoming Radiological Society of North America meeting in Chicago.
Badawi along with Simon Cherry, Professor from UC Davis, first conceptualised the total-body scanner 13 years ago.

According to Cherry, EXPLORER will have a profound impact on clinical research and patient care because for the first time, an imaging scanner will be able to evaluate what is happening in all the organs and tissues of the body simultaneously.

"While I had imagined what the images would look like for years, nothing prepared me for the incredible detail we could see on that first scan," Cherry noted.

The machine can also quantitatively measure blood flow or how the body takes up glucose everywhere in the body.
Researchers envision using the scanner to study cancer that has spread beyond a single tumor site, inflammation, infection, immunological or metabolic disorders and many other diseases.

How Google track your location even when it's off.

You probably turned off your location history on your phone in order to maintain your privacy and limit the amount of data your share with some big tech companies. To your surprise, google may still be tracking  your every movement history.

Some of google different services are still tracking users every movement on your iPhone and Andriod phones regardless of whether they've turn off their location history. This was discovered by an AP investigator.

If you start using services like google maps, google will ask you to permit the access to your Andriod or iPhone phone's location. If you agree to the request, you automatically allow google map to take record of your history and it displays your location history on a timeline so that you can view it daily.

How does Google track it?

On the google  support page for managing your location history, they said that you can turn off your location history at any time.Well, according to the AP investigators, they discovered that it's not true.

Some things were noticed that even with your location history off,a number of google apps still automatically store your location data without asking for permission.

AP began it's inquiry into this location tracking issue after a graduate at UC Berkeley who is a researcher observed a notification on her Andriod phone asking her to rate  a recent trip to Kohls even though she had turned off her location history.

Well, to actually stop location services on your Android or iPhone device, Google pointed AP to the web and App activity settings. This setting is turned by default, controls various options for apps and services connected to your Google account.

Google further explained what each setting means, but only after you toggle each one on or off. Turning off location data have been saved which is part of your activity on other Google services such as search and maps.

Location history is a Google product that is entirely opt in and users have the controls to edit, delete or turn it off at any time.As the story notes, we make sure location history users know that when they disable the product we continue to use the location to improve the Google search or use Google for driving directions.

Google was found to be accessing users location even when their GPRS location tracking was off through cell ID codes obtained through cellular towers.

10GB RAM Smartphone is about to be launched.

Android smartphones have come up with a massive amount of RAM, with flagships sporting anywhere from 4GB to 8GB of memory. The more RAM a phone has, the better and easy way it handles apps, and we saw earlier this year.

A variety of comparisons between top Android phones and the iPhone X revealed that the more RAM a handset packs, the more likely is to beat the iPhone in a certain type of speed test. And Chinese smartphone maker Oppo seems to think we need more than 8GB on a smartphone which is absolutely true.

That sounds like overkill for a mobile device. But then again, 8GB did it not too long ago.The first phone to feature 10GB of RAM will be a variation of the Oppo Find X, the Galaxy S9-like handset that was released earlier this year with an almost perfect edge-to-edge notch-less screen. It’s the phone with the slide-out selfie camera.

A listing for the Find X model above is already available on TENAA, the Chinese telecom regulatory body, GizmoChina reports. Well, the listing was already there, but it was updated for Find X model number PAFM00. Only the RAM changed, everything else stayed the same.

It’s unclear when the handset will be launched, or whether it’ll be available in other markets, but expect to pay plenty of cash for that extra memory. GizmoChina estimates the phone will cost 7,999 yuan ($1,163) in China.

The Find X may be the world’s first smartphone with 10GB of RAM, but it’s likely others will create similar devices. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Asus wanted to make a 10GB version of its first gaming phone, the ROG Phone. Word on the street is that Asus didn’t do it because it didn’t have enough space to fit the extra RAM.
